I follow lots of amusing accounts on Twitter, including this one by someone who pretends to be Jesus. On Sept 12th, the author posted this hilarious statement:1
It feels like a lot of bad stuff is happening these days: riots here, territorial disputes there, people getting shot somewhere else. There’s a lot of good stuff happening too, but it seems a lot of people are angry, frustrated and acting out. It happens from time to time in history. Did you know that 100 years ago, there were riots, revolutions, assassinations and terrorist bombings just like now? Oh and don’t forget very bloody and nasty wars. A hundred years later the actors have changed, but the same stupid stuff happens over and over.
I think “Jesus”‘s advice perfect here: CTFD2
Step away from the political forums; put down the keyboard; turn off the TV. Go listen to Gangnam Style for a while, or go for a walk in the park. Boil some tea, or make a pot of coffee. Do something nice like practice handwriting, yardwork, or sewing. How about meditation? I hear it’s the latest fad in Hollywood.
Just CTFD, everyone.
You’re making yourself look really stupid for future generations.
P.S. Double-post today, sorry. This was spontaneous.
1 If you’re wondering why there is Korean text, that’s my fault. As part of my language-learning efforts, I have some accounts set to Japanese, some to English, and some to Korean, and I keep getting mixed up, and it’s too much work to fix them all to be one language. :p
2 Calm The F*** Down. Maybe you can change it to something friendlier like “Calm the frown down”, “Calm the Frederick down”, or “Calm the fudge down”.
